The Pursuit of the Outlier
In the High n’ Wicked blending cellar, our process is defined by a search for harmony. However, certain barrels occasionally emerge as "outliers"—singular expressions that show such immense depth and character they demand to be bottled alone rather than blended. Wahoo No. 1 is the first of these outliers selected in exclusive collaboration with the University of Virginia.
Uncompromised Character
This 6-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey represents the pinnacle of our Single Barrel Select program. To preserve the intricate oils and esters developed during six years in charred American white oak, we have bottled this spirit without chill-filtration at 47% ABV (94 Proof). The result is a bourbon of remarkable nuance, retaining the full-bodied mouthfeel and complexity that only a strictly curated single barrel can provide.
Production & Where to Find
This exceptional Single Barrel release yielded just 221 bottles, created exclusively in partnership with Boar’s Head Resort and Virginia Guesthouse at the University of Virginia. This extremely limited expression is available only through these two destinations, where guests can experience it in curated pours and cocktails crafted in partnership with our bartending teams. A small allocation of bottles has been set aside for purchase through the link above—once they’re gone, this barrel will never be replicated.

Caramelized Orange, Cherry and fresh Honeycrisp Apple, with notes of gingerbread cookie, honey and clove - rounded out with a hint of leather and creme brûlée.

Round entry with a distinct spice note at the front - evolves quickly into cinnamon and caramel roasted apples - with a bright citrus punch at the end. Clove, allspice, and ginger balance out a mouthfeel that is rich yet delicate.
